So I thought it was an ingrown hair and I tried getting a hair out with tweezers, it bled and scanned over yellow. Yesterday I went to the doctors to get tested. But I’m so worried please help.
Hey Nicole so when I first got checked for herpes my doctor said it was just an ingrown hair but I couldn’t believe her. I had a fever and symptoms that mimicked strep. A week went by and I got a call saying I was positive. Checkout the symptoms for herpes outbreaks. I only had one partner and used protection but still managed to get it but I pray your results are different!
I don’t have any fever symptoms, but the doctor did say it looked a lil sketchy. I swabbed it and now I wait til Monday. I tried uploading a photo but no idea how
I think you’re fine! I understand the anxiety. I’m still trying to navigate this whole situation myself but I truly believe yours is just an ingrown hair
I’m just accepting the fact that it’s herpes.. that way if it really is I’d be less stressed??😞 but thank you. I’m sorry that you’re dealing with that, it must be hard 😓
If it is just one spot, I HIGHLY doubt it is herpes. They usually show up in groups and become ulcerated. What you are describing sounds like a boil. Keep it as clean as possible to avoid staph. ❤️

I have a lot of ingrown hairs but this one is weird, I’ve been sneezing since Thursday night and been having headaches
Idk how to post pictures either. Flu like symptoms that come with the first outbreak would be more like chills, fever, achy all over, fatigue, headache. The sneezing is probably just allergies or a cold. It’s fall allergy season. Also, if it is your first (which would be the only one where you’d have flu like symptoms) it would be everywhere not just one spot. Don’t stress yourself too much; it’s seriously probably just a boil. Does it itch or sting? I don’t mean like a little; I mean like oh my goodness this itches so bad but it hurts to scratch. I usually get in the shower and rub with water if my outbreak is bothering me. It’s very difficult to ignore.
No it doesn’t itch severely, but I read online that everyone’s experience with herpes is different?hopefully it is just allergies or a cold. Idk I’m going to post Monday if I have it or not. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
