Could this be herpes?

is this herpes its doesnt burn when urinating but i am having groin pain and i have scratched it i just got a swab and the doctor has seen it prior to it turning in to what it looks like in the picture and was told its an ingrown should i still be worried?

it looks like herpes. thats exactly what mines looked like before my diagnosis of hsv1.

were you able to treat it on your own mine went away a week later idk if i should still be worried or not
