In 2012 I had a full hysterectomy ovaries and uterus removed. I never had any symptoms of menopause. I was 39. I was put on hrt which I took for several years. I took myself off of it and felt great. Eight months ago I started getting more depression, anxiety, moody, itchy skin, problems sleeping. I went to my doctor to get back on hrt. Two months ago I had my hormones checked and my estrogen and preogesterone came back normal. I took myself off the hrt again. My doctor wanted me to take an anti-depressant but I refused. So for two months I have taken nothing. In the last several weeks I have been waking up feeling sweaty. This has been every night. Also I have been noticing hot flashes during the day. I still cry at the drop of a hat and my anxiety is still there. My sleep is off and on. Since it has been 6 years since my hysterectomy am I starting to experience menopause?
My hysterectomy was in May of 2008 and I felt nothing until March of 2018… And crazy crazy symptoms..
Sounds like it is I had mine then it was ten years before i had symptoms of menopause taking HRT would keep your levels normal stopping it makes them drop
Thank you k you for sharing. I am 46 years old. Probably if I never had a hysterectomy this may be the age I would experience natural. My mom was this age and went through it natural. I called my doctor and he said to continue taking .5 estradoil. I was on hrt for about four months last year and then two months ago I quit again. Now I am having all these symptoms and I don’t like it; well who does. I am having a hard time accepting that I am getting older and there is nothing I can do.
