This is the HIV 1&2 cmia test result after 4 weeks after exposure. It is showing a value .08 in the result. When I had a check up six months back, its value was .03 . Does it mean that I should check after two months ? Please let me know.
That sounds like an antibody test which will not be conclusive at 4 weeks. I would ask to have a combination p24 antigen and antibody test which most specialists say is conclusive at 6 weeks. some even say 4 weeks. I have just gone through all of this and was terrified. I had 3 combo tests 4 weeks 7 weeks and 13 weeks all negative. You really need a test looking for p24 though if you are testing early.
