Covid 19 so anxious and worried

hiya everyone im so scared of the virus. absolutely terrified im shocked at the amount of deaths . it breaks my heart so much to think there are so many suffering. 😞 what about all these people dieing is that are they elderly people ? are they people with pre existing ilnesses or isnit just everyone that this virus is taken. i mean yeh ive heard stories and ive heard things and i iust dont know what to believe anymore.. 😭 for someone who suffers with health anxiety anyway everything is just getting to me. i just cant relax. i also read somehwere that a nurse said there are nore recoveries than deaths from this virus. i guess im just looking for some hope 😓

rachel, there is hope. This coronavirus has been around for a very long time. It’s just that this strain of it mutated from the original strain so it’s brand new to us.
The scientists and doctors are still learning about it on a daily basis. So we don’t know everything yet but what we found out is that it is extremely contagious even more so than the flu. That’s why they are stressing that people stay at least 6 feet from each other if you must go out.
the virus is mostly dangerous for people over 65 but especially anyone with pre-existing conditions. Many people get the virus but around 80 to 85% will recover without any serious complications. Some people are walking around with it and don’t even know it. However they can still pass it to other people. Again, social distancing is extremely important so we don’t spread it.
people without pre-existing conditions can get the virus and also young people.
To most people the virus is not deadly, however many people have died from it most of which do have underlying conditions but not all. They are still trying to figure out why there are some healthy young people with no pre-existing conditions who have died from it. it will take a little while before they figure everything out.
but There are way more elderly people who die from this than young people.
BUT please remember that you absolutely can protect yourself from this virus.

  1. stay away from people and don’t go anywhere unless you absolutely have to. if you have to, wear a mask and gloves, otherwise please stay home!
  2. wash your hands many times during the day and keep your hands off of your face because the way it enters is through the eyes, nose and mouth.
  3. call your doctor if you feel sick, have a fever, cough, etc.
    What I do for corona anxiety is make it a point to listen to my meditations on YouTube every single day and especially when laying down to sleep. . There are actually some on there for coronavirus. there are hundreds of meditations for anxiety. I especially like one called “it’s OK”. It’s by Lauren.her other one I really like is called" comforting words for deep sleep."
    She has a very soothing voice and it is very calming.
    I also keep myself very busy so that I don’t think about it every minute of the day. I know that I will be fine if I stay home because then there’s no way to get it.
    You Will be OK if you follow the guidelines.
