Covid positive

just to let people know that have been asking about covid19 symtoms i got tested a week ago as im a health care assistant in a hospital and we had a few positive patients on the ward my test came back positive today and the only symtom i have had in the last week is a sore throat and anxiety ive not had a fever or cough i actually didnt feel poorly i was shocked it was positive

Easier said than done but the most important thing is to just relax!

The more anxious you are the more symptoms you will feel, and it becomes really hard to tell if they are all in your head or if they are just “phantom” symptoms.

Is the sore throat gone?

Health anxiety is getting to be big time myself. I had a fever 6 weeks ago which only lasted 2 days but I haven’t felt well since. I feel like there is still an infection, I feel extremely fatigued, I feel short on breath doing simple exercises. Worst of all I haven’t slept properly for 5 weeks, waking up every hour breathing fast. Doctor tells me it’s all psychological.

throat felt like it was getting better but of course now ive had this covid positive result i feel like its worse im now worrying more than ever i wish they had not told me it was positive cos i actually felt ok before apart from scratchy throat your right though i need to try and relax

christiana

strictly speak testing positive do not mean you had as they are working on data.i am sure the test you had was temperature taken has any blood test carried out I will only tell you yo work on your sore throat to healed.just keep on with your focuss

My ER doctor and GP Doctors told me too its all psychological too. Because I have not been in contact or expose with covid postive patient or anyone else suspected. If someone coughing i stay away and always wear mask. But i.am having similar symptom like you, sleeping issue and breathlessness sometime, everything else is perfectly normal.

back in late february my fiancee brought home a bad cough and a little over a week later i came down with it. Moderate cough, mild fever major fatigue and even a night of abdominal pain and night sweats. Tested negative for flu and strep. Now they are saying our area had cases as early as late january in the US. I really think we had it. it wasnt fun but it really wasnt terrible either.

I wonder how many have had it and had no clue, can you keep us posted please, prayers for healing.

I wonder myself. I’ve had a couple of bouts of illness and I’m wondering if either of them were covid-19. The end of November I started with a scratchy throat which grew sore, then developed nasal/sinus congestion and a cough. It felt like it’d gone into my chest but doctor said it was only a “cough.” Gave me antibiotic just in case. It took about 2 weeks to go away. I don’t remember having a fever though.

Then the end of February my dad had been ill with what he thought was a bad cold. Several days later I started getting sick - again, sore throat, nagging cough, headaches and ear/sinus congestion. I did wake up one morning with a temperature of nearly 100 which surprised me but after taking Tylenol Sinus it went down and stayed down. This took about 2, 2.5 weeks to go away. In the case of my dad, he’d had a bad cough that lingered for several weeks. I’m wondering now if both of us could have had it. I guess the only way to be sure is if we got tested for having the antibodies. To be honest it’d give me some peace of mind…perhaps I’d have some immunity.

quite a few people here in uk i know saying they had bad flu symtoms around february it does make me think many people have already had this virus but didnt know

i suspect alot have already had it to be honest but had no idea as some people saying they had mild cold flu symtoms as far back as jan/feb which could of been this virus we never knew about hopefully stays mild for as many people as possible sooner it goes the better

I have been monitoring my symptoms since something started, mild system now about 15 days already. We all not sure its all in the head or covid, that scares us the most. Sometime i feel normal but sometime it just happen especially when playing mobile games. Trust me i dont want to spread to my families and also don’t want to get infected.
I went to ER, I went to GP they all said anxiety. But my mind can’t accept. Then prescribed meds and now still taking to relief random symptoms. In your case, you should manage at home, symptom by symptom, also boost immunity.

My country currently have 22 positive patients and rest are suspects.
Health care in my country is not good and coronavirus test will take long.

Hi Christina, Thank you for the work you’re doing in the healthcare field, obviously there is terrible risk working around sick people…I hope you have a full and speedy recovery, let us know how you do!!
