I work at a grocery store produce department with boxes and many other things to dry out my hands and between my thumb and pointer a crack formed, painfull but not too bad i ignored it. Now its a raised bump (looks like a large calluse, but witha wound in the middle) the crack has healed and there is a circle wound with cracked skin all within the circle. Its painful to the touch with any amount of pressure and if i pick at the skin thats cracked still, it wont hurt but if i manage to pull it out it will bleed and hurt then. Ive had this for 3 weeks or so and ive recently started using lotion but it does nothing for it. Any ideas on what this could be? Should i just keep using lotion, or will this progress and get worse if i dont do anything about it other than moisturizer. I have pictures but dont know how to post them.
Can you wear a glove? Cause that wound needs to be u touched with ointment on it for a good week or more

If it’s open then I’d use neosporin or something like that. If not then I’d use aquaphor or Vaseline. Comfy I know. Lol
