Creatine and balanitis

This is actually a health problem which I have resolved but I am curious to know more about it. Long story short, 6 months ago I visited a GP in the UK after having balanitis for 2-3 weeks. To be precise, the balanitis was not there every day for these 2-3 weeks but it was coming and going every 2-3 days. She suggested me an anti-inflammatory cream and using no soap but hot water. I continued to have the balanitis and I went to another GP after 2-3 weeks. She also suggested me an anti-inflammatory cream and using no soap but hot water. Again it did not work. I started to think if there is anything which I started during the time the balanitis started and which may cause a skin irritation on my penis for some reason. Then only thing I could think was some creatine powder I started taking (in normal doses) every day since then and to test if this was causing the problem I entirely stopped it. 2-3 days after I stopped it the inflammation was reduced by a lot and 1-2 weeks after the inflammation was basically entirely gone and never came back while I did not take creatine again. **How do you explain this relationship between my creatine intake and balanitis? What may also say about my body (eg its hormonal balance, metabolism etc)?** Just to clarify that I did not do any blood tests during this time so I do not know if there was any change in this respect. I did blood tests (for general reasons) 4 months after I had stopped the creatine and everything was fine.
