i trying to work out if i might have an aid but on three blood tests my crp is average at 1.25 mg
can i asume i dont have then ?
Yes, you can have a normal Crp and still have an autoimmune disease. I would imagine that the best place to start is to ask your doctor for an ANA blood test. This will tell you if you most likely have something autoimmune going on. If the test is positive, than more specific anti-body tests can be done, to help pinpoint which antibodies your body is producing. If it is negative, than your doctor will most likely rule out autoimmune diseases.
I often have normal crp and diagnosed with an auto immune disorder. A good specialist should know that is not conclusive proof of anything. There is no absolute blood test which proves you have auto immune disease.
