Hi there,
Can anyone explain to me what this CT Scan report means?
**NO DESTRUCTIVE OSSEOUS LESIONS
STABLE SCLEROSIS POSTERIOR LATERAL LEFT 6TH RIB
INTERPRETATION
NON SPECIFIC LEFT RIB SCLEROSIS. BONE SCAN RECOMMENDED
I am having anxiety thinking this is something very serious!
I had a CT scan last year Nov 2021 because I was starting a new Medication (Humira) for my Crohns Disease and Dr had to check for TB before I was able to start the Humira.
The scan last year showed No TB but did show some small nodules and was told to follow up in a year to check them … had the repeat scan Friday last week and it showed no changes in the nodules and do not need to follow up with another scan for them which was a relief.
But now I see my report and it shows something about Sclerosis on one of my ribs and a bone scan is recommended and I am freaking out … I am trying to find stuff online but most things that come up are for Multiple Sclerosis which I think is different? I feel fine and no soreness on my ribs or anything like that so not sure why the Bone Scan?
I didnt read this report until after the dr office called and told me somehting about a small fracture and the Dr wanted to send me for a bone scan. I dont see anything about a fracture on the report!
Thanks for taking the time to read all this ![]()
