CT scans and anxiety

I am 31 years old and have suffered from extreme anxiety for about 20 years now. over these years i have felt sick. really sick. dizziness body pains many many symptoms. ive had many exams done and i am healthy as can be. over all these years I have had about 7 ct scans and i am traumitized sick about the amount of radiation i have been exposed to. everytime my dr has mentioned a ct scan i want to throw up. this year alone i have had 3. has anyone else been worried of getting cancer from their ct scans or am i over thinking this.

I know how scary these diagnostic tests can be. I do know that the American College of radiology recommends limiting your lifetime radiation exposure to about 10,000 chest x-rays or up to 25 chest CT scans. so you are still way below that .
did you have the CT scans in one part of the body or all over?
A good idea if you need to have more testing done would be to switch to the MRI which has no radiation. That way you won’t get close to that maximum amount of CTs .
another thing is just don’t have any more CT scans. The ones you have already had should be good enough for the doctors to see if anything is going on. I refuse to have any unless it’s absolutely necessary. you can do the same from now on.
We can’t change or control what’s already been done so now you have a fresh start.don’t spend your life worrying about this because then you will waste enjoying your life.. I did that for many years and nothing bad ever happened but I can’t get that time back. You’re going to be OK!

ive been zapped all over. dont remember if 2 or 3 head cts 1 neck ct 1 abdominal and 1 chest…abdominal and chest might have been low dose but I still panic.

I am 24 and had a LOAD of them since I was 8 and diagnosed with an illness. Still alive and kicking with no issues. The risk really is tiny
