Hi all,
Feeling very sorry for myself. I’m 36, I had culposuspension surgery on Tuesday at St Mary’s, Paddington. I woke up with a catheter coming from my pelvis as expected and the consultant advised that she was happy with the op. Thursday the catheter tube was clamped and my urine output was measured over 6 hours, I was outputting enough but when they unclamped the tube and measured how much I was retaining they’re weren’t happy. We trialled again two more times and I was retaining. I also had diarrhoea so wondering if this didn’t help the situation.
I’ve now been sent home with a leg catheter bag to go back in 10 days for catheter removal and if still retaining I’ll be taught to self cathertise. Just looking for good news story’s to help me as I’m feeling completed lost and down about the situation. I don’t want to end up in a worse situation then I went into hospital.
Would appreciate any kind words, many thanks Lisa x
