Cut toe - infection?

Yesterday I was trimming my toe nails and accidentally cut my toe. I put med. on it, but wondering if I could get an infection in my hip from a sore on my toe? I know it is silly but I worry about getting infection in my hip and what can cause it. I had op last June and everything seems to be going good - don't want to get an infection now! Do you think I should call the doctor and ask?

I don't think you will, only people who really get infection in toes is like me because I am also diabetic, I think you would know about it before it got to the hip and by now your hip would of been healed

I dont think a cut in your toe would cause infection in hip but i dont know tbh. Ill be exactly like you though being constantly worried when i get my op

Almost certainly not. You probably will not get an infection in your toe, and it would have to be bad for it to spread to yourhip

I don't think you have anything to worry about but if your toe shows any sign of infection or if you have signs of fever then seek help immediately and get antibiotics.

Thanks for your help! It looks like it is healing up ok. Will keep an eye on it though just in case
