My mums hands are starting to get really bad. She is 87 and also has Alzheimers.
Can anyone recommend some cutlery for her to use. I feel as though they should be curved??

Hi Amanda. You can buy adapted cutlery from all good shopmobility stores. Most towns have a couple of these stores or you can search online. They're not cheap but they are pretty sturdy and dishwasher proof.
They are as you say curved so they compensate for the kids of wrist action.
All the best to you and your mum.
Sorry loss of wrist action not kids.
Hi Amanda,
Before you pay so much for adaotive cutlery, consider whether or not it is a good idea to give a person with Alzheimer's dementia sharp knives ..I would hate to have hwr injure herself
If she can be safe, consider a small, light weight cleaver. Once I learned how to properly use it, I could do everything with it....it just may save you some dollars.
kind regards

It is just a spoon and fork i need. I know not to give her a knife. With rheumatoid arthritis, she cannot cut things up
Hi Amanda
Try eBay...search "adaptive fork" and then "adaptive spoon"
