I had bowel cancer 2 years ago. After a follow up CT I was told i had a cyst on my spleen and one of my kidneys. I've had pain in my left side and back for a few months. The last couple of weeks its been getting much worse. I had antibiotics a couple of weeks ago for a urine infection. Has anyone else experienced anything like this. Should I get some medical advice?
Yes, definitely get it checked out. Don’t want to unnecessarily worry you but I was told I had a ‘something’ possibly a cyst on my spleen. Booked in for splenectomy, in the meantime it was getting more and more painful. By the time it got to surgery day the ??cyst had spread over my stomach, pancreas and beyond. They left my spleen in place and did a biopsy which turned out to be a lymphoma. I’m now halfway through a course of chemo. Drs are optimistic of success for me but I may yet have to have to have my spleen removed as it had enlarged just prior to surgery if it doesn’t shrink back following chemo.
