hi, i am 43 and had cystoscopy recently due to my urinary symptoms. in short, after i pee, which is painless i get some disturbances in my penis and lower abdomen within few minutes after peeing. in general it feels like i need to go again. if i resist it starts to fade in an hour or two and eventually goes away most of the time, but not always. once i pee again it all starts over. had cystoscopy done and doctor noted high bladder neck and mild prostatic protrusion. in our discussion afterwards he noted that he didnt think the symptoms might be due to this findings. anyone else diagnosed with similar? thanks
Reason might be high bladder neck. Second opinion needed from other doctor.
the reason for high bladder neck is prostate pushing from underneath, so i assume the prostate is enlarged?
i have kinda same.but for me the urge remain mostly in penis ( is not going away, is like almost all the time ) ,sometimes i also have lower abdomen disconfort burning but more rare then penis problem.i also have high bladder neck and the prostate is inflamed.about your question i think the bladder neck irritate the prostate.he consider a bni as a solution for problems
i don t know how he can say a high bladder neck and prostate obstruction can t give this symptoms, i read alot and talked with alot of guys and imo they can give u those symptoms.but like pav say try another doctor
what is typically offered in this situation ? besides bni, i am scared of that. he wants me to give trospium along with alfuzosin a try. wouldnt more definitive solution be shrinking the prostate either by doing PAE or say Rezum? i have a prostate ultrasound scheduled to acurately determine prostate size. will see what comes out of it.
valentin, are you being treated in any way to relieve symptoms? how do you know your prostate is inflamed? do you have other sympoms? my stream strength varies, also have some dribble at the end. i was told i empty well though, had 11ml and other time 16ml on my post void ultrasound.
they did a rectal exam and is abit enlarged and inflamed.i tried medicines , betmiga , baclofen , alfuzosin they did not really work sadly.sometimes my stream is decent sometimes i need 3 min to pee but i pee all .bni is much better in our cases will solve both prostate and bladder neck
