Hello, I have had anxiety for years, and my health issues have really made this worse. I have tried cymbalta, welbutrin, and I can't remember the other one I took. They all had side effects that my wife and I noticed. Any luck finding a prescription with few side effects? Thanks.
Well, cymbalta and welbutrin are not the best antidepressants for anxiety... These are stimulating drugs that in fact can make anxiety worse. I would suggest switching to either sertraline or paroxetine - these two have a more sedating profile and usually work quite well to eliminate GAD, social phobia, agoraphobia, etc. Only if paroxetine failed, I would try medications other than SSRIs.
Sertraline is often said to be the best for Anxiety. I am switching to it soon.
Have used Propranolol for around 6 months with zero side effects.
This all depends on now your body metabolizes the medications.request a cyp450 gene test. Basically everything has side effects in some way. Even foods. So ot would be what has the least side effects. And know when you move around meds or want off always rememeber slow and steady. Slow and steady will always work way better then rushing off.
