i am in my 50s and was treated with Flunarizine for 3 years but put on too much weight. I have now been switched to amitriptyline but found that I have blurred vision even on 10 mg. I stopped taking it 7 days ago but still my vision has not come back to normal. Seeing the optician on Wednesday.
How long should it take for the vision to return to normal?
Anything else to try for daily morning headaches?
Hi. I was also prescribed this and found it no use whatsover. I too had blurred vision that after a while subsided. Amitriptiline is after all an antidepressant which has been around for decades and seems to be prescribed for lots of things, my mother was given it as a sleeping aid.

Hi I know this was written a few years ago I was wondering how you went with your eye sight, I am on 45mg of mirtazapine and was given 10mg of amitriptyline for anxiety I had it once and instantly lost focus in my eyes an blurred vision words all seem to blend together it's been two weeks and still no improvement I'm worried it's done permanent damage just seeing if when your sight returned to normal? Thank you
