There are several skin conditions that can cause this - probably the most common is a form of Seborrheic dermatitis.
Can I ask, are you a particularly active person, such as doing active sports, running, distance cycling, regular gym workouts - that kind of thing?
Perhaps you have noticed sweat being regularly present in your groin region … ?
Yes I am relatively active most days of the week which does causes sweat to be present in my groin area
So, one way of answering your initial question would be this is quite typical for both males and females to have this on their genitals if sweat us a regular part of what you do every week, such as training for / taking part in active sports.
What you can do is try to control the sweat as much as possible. This would mean removing sports wear as soon after a session is completed and taking a shower, for example - you may even need to cool down so that the sweat simply does not remain to be present after your shower.
Next session always put on freshly laundered shorts and suchlike that are in contact with your groin / genital region.
The other thing you could do is get a Dermatologist to check whether there is dermatitis that is present that can be treated - you may also partly have pigmentation change going on, which again, is very common on the genitals.

Thank you for your reply, you would be surprised as to how few people make the effort to do this
along with physical activity, body wash can dry the skin causing discoloration. dont not wash the area but see if not putting body wash directly on the area causes a change! best of luck!
