I so admire you and all you do to help others.  Just reading your responses.  You said you quit smoking during all of this struggle and ongoing struggle.  That is quite a feat in itself.  Surely you had withdrawals with everything else that was going on.  Well done.  This is none of my business but why if your meds are working for you why do you want to come off.  I read your blogs and know that things are not easy at the moment (understatement) why not be kind to yourself and stay on for a bit longer?

Lynda

I agree

I do as well.

Hi Lynda,

Thanks for the kind words and support.

We are actually beginning to wonder if I should keep with it a bit longer until everything has settled down. I have another hospital appointment Tuesday week so, I think I'll stay on until then see what's occurring! I don't see my Dr until beginning of September however, I have the first counselling session next Tuesday as well so, I guess, see how that goes too!

I would like to think I will eventually drop to a lower dosage or come off completely, but if I am too "damaged" I guess I'll have to stick with it! Lower dosage would be preferable. Coincidentally, I have buzzing in the ears for the first time in a while, but this is because I am a little tired (I think).

While typing this we are discussing the fact that feeling I should be reducing (when I'm not) is not helping my situation either.

So, thanks for the nudge in the right direction and making me stop to reflect, I have decided not to reduce until at least after the hospital appointment.

You have to say that this site is the best! We all need help especially when we are too close to our own problems!

Thanks Lynda.

Regards,

David x
