Help
What dose are you on?
It sounds like you should go back to the doctor and talk it through with him/her.
It does take a few weeks to kick in properly though.
I'm on 20mg for last 4 days and was on 10mg for the seven days before.
Spoken to doctors on phone and she said I'm having all the side effects!!!
Keep with it xx
These meds will make you better, but they often take a long time. Taking a larger dose doesn't necessarily make you better any quicker either. You can't hurry recovery. There is no quick fix. But they will work if you give them time - lots and lots of time. Some people feel better by 3-4 months, some quicker and some take longer. Everyone is different.
This is my second time on them too, and this time around I had different side effects.
Your mood will be up and down too whilst you recover, but it gets easier. Give them time, know and believe they will work for you again even if you won't see progress for a while. Just keep persevering - you'll get there.
Remember, good things are worth waiting for ;-)

Hi Emma
i was on 20mg of Citalopram for 6 weeks with little improvement and not eating or sleeping (I had list 10lbs in weight). I went back to my GP who changed my medication to Mirtrazapine and the difference is like night & day, my appetite has returned and I am sleeping at night and the dude effects are minimal. I know every one reacts differently, but I cannot believe that within a week I feel so much better. Hope u feel better soon too.
Thank you everyone.... Strange but this afternoon and evening I felt amazing back to myself... I'm still pushing myself to go out every day even though I'm not working at the moment
Doctor has put me back on my epilepsy meds so at least I'm sleeping xx
