Day 12 Citalopram

Hi everyone, 

I posted on here a couple of weeks ago due to my anxiety and panic going through the roof after waiting for test results. I have now been on Citalopram for 12 days, the side effects have definitely eased and I am powering through. The thing that hasn't shifted is just an odd feeling, I can't work out if it is the anxiety or the meds or what. I still have a weird butterflies feeling in my chest and I feel a bit spaced out like I'm in a world of my own. I just feel strange in general. I go back to the doctors for a review on the 31st July. 

Has anyone else experienced this as part of taking Citalopram?

I also want to just say thank you to everyone who has responded in previous posts etc, this forum is wonderful for moral support.

Hi jade what dose are you on im on 10 mg and have been for 8 months they take about 6 weeks to get in your system properly but chin up they do make iy easier here if you want to chat x

Thank you for you reply, I am on 10mg. I don't feel sick as much which is great as that was my main feeling for days and just wanted to stay in bed. 

I will keep powering through x

Hi Jade probably the antidepressants it takes 6 to 8 weeks to level off in your system.Just stick with it and give it a chance.You have nothing to lose.
