Day 2

im feelin really bunged up today, my eyes keep watering and my sinesus are tender and stingy, head feels a bit swirly aswell. Dont know if its the pills ( seems quite soon) could just be a bug in the office, but i feel slighlty stoned!

Anyone get these symtoms this early??

xx

The symtoms i got early on were very dry mouth so kept drinking loads of water and tea all the time and problems sleeping and head a bit fuzzed. had to concentrate more if i was doing something important. just carried on taking them because i think they are helping but maybe that is just psycological? time will tell. dont sleep all that well but dont feel tired the next day, bit strange!! as most people on here say im sure everyone experiences different sensations and feelings after taking flu and they are more successful for some than others, no miracle cure im afraid. the funny feelings should pass though im sure. good luck. keep us all informed louise. xx

Hi Louisem and Richieboy

Louisem

It may be a bug but i found early on that my sinuses played up more than usual. Head feeling like its filled with cotton wool is still a sympton now sometimes and i'm on week 10+. I agree with RB too re dry mouth and other side effects too.

This drug affects everyone in different ways. Any questions or experiences you may have - post them here. We are all here to help each other.

Richieboy

I would keep an eye on how much caffiene ie tea/coffee/cola drinks you take. As well as a stimulant it can also act as an irritant whilst on flu. I've also had to give the booze a miss after trying it at 2 weeks. Alcohol is a depressant so conflicts with what flu is trying to do. Makes life more boring in the drinks department but hey its not for ever.

Have either of you considered taking a B vitamin complex in addition to the flu. All the B vitamins but especially B12 are essential for depression sufferers. Type 'vitamin B12 and depression' in google for information.

Knowledge is power and the more we know, to help us fight this depression, the better.

Best wishes to you both.

hi meganpooch,

thanks for your reply. i know what you mean about caffeine. i dont touch the stuff. i drink decaf tea or herbal teas like camomille, valerian and peppermint. i also take a vitamin B complex with my flu daily. anything to help basically. i know what you mean about alcohol. it is a real struggle giving it up altogether for a while but i know it is the right move. it is strange because you know a couple of cans are a quick pick me up but in the long run alcohol is a depressant as you say.

cheers.
