so it’s only day three into taking sertraline and I’m currently in bed with a tingly/numb bottom lip and tip of my tongue, I’ve felt sick and a bit dizzy all day and jittery..I can’t switch off and go to sleep, is this normal?

It's your body trying to tell you that the pill is not medicine.
What does that mean? Like it rejecting it or? Does this go away?x
I didn't get the tingly tongue but felt jittery and dizzy, it d's pass though. Worst few days were day 3 to 7 then it steadily got better from there xx
Hi, I started Sertraline two weeks ago and have some side effects....I checked to see if they were normal and was told to expect to feel worse before feeling better, this put my mind at rest. Check to see if this is a normal reaction with your doctor or with the enclosed paperwork you should have in the box....some side effects are common, some rare and some should be discussed with your doctor...best to check
I’m on day four now after only 3 and a half hours sleep last night, I feel absolutely horrendous, my stomach hurts, every time I close my eyes it’s like my head is spinning, I feel nauseous and I’m just finding it so hard to go to sleep😔which dose are you taking please?x
Which side effects did you have Alison? Have you found that the first week was most difficult? I’ll check with my gp hopefully tomorrow x
I started at 25mg then moved to 50mg 2 and a half weeks later. I tried to up to 50mg after a week and I felt shocking so I left it for another week. Have you taken another 2 today. It really is horrible and I think his should be telling us how horrible it can be.
I totally agree! This medication has such horrible side effects, I’ve no idea how I’m going to go back to work on Tuesday and work full time on just three hours of sleep😩I’ve just taken my half a tablet (25mg) and I’m only on day four but this is the worst I’ve felt so far x
Could you have some time off? My gp was keen for me to have time off when starting.
Hi Belle, I was rattling and couldn’t stop shaking my legs, diarrhoea and very panicky 😱 I felt awful woke up one night with a big whoosh/wave coming over my head or brain, this frightened me. This was the first week. I was considering asking doc for something else but decided to drop down to 25mg, I was started on 50 and supposed to increase to 100 after two weeks..I really wish I’d got the doctor to sign me off work whilst I’ve got used to them. My anxiety is quite bad anyway really hoping to feel better in time x

I’m exactly the same! The worst side effect is stomach ache and my tongue is numb😣it’s so scary, everyday I’m feeling worse and worse and it’s only been 4 days so it’s really difficult..when did you start feeling the benefits?xx
I used on sertraline. Gave me sudden hot/cold chills waves.. I think . Jerked awake in fear sweats as I called it. Whole body felt like in block of cement..it quite effort just to turn over in bed feeling my body locked in body case..such restriction movement. Could be just pure fear. Can't tell whatever it made a difference.. But I know I was glad to have safely clutch medicine because of such torment in that year. I think steraline heightened sensations tho since its effect chemical going ons. I'm only on it 2 months. Not interested to be any longer since I feel I can help it myself.
Yeah, juat say that you don't think you can work through the side effects, theybwoukd come back too with the dose increase so Maybe get a few weeks off at least x
Today is day 17 and I’ve felt much better, going to give it another few weeks as I’ve been told it could take that long for your body to get used to it x
