I had the first of both THR's planned for the summer on Saturday and am pleased to say everything is going well. Still quite a bit of pain (as you would expect) but am pretty mobile for Day 4. I think the key to it is to take your time and listen to your body as everyone is different.
I have been offered a slot for the second operation 4 weeks after the first one and have to admit to being a little apprehensive despite everything going to plan so far. I am sure as the days progress it will feel a lot more manageable.

im 22 days post op, and I must agree we are all different, and yes to listen to our own body! I'm down to one crutch and quite mobile, but I am guilty of reading other people's adventure and comparing yo mine!

Well done SJ. A challenge to take on but you should be encouraged by the first experience! With a bit of luck and care you should be in a good place by 4 weeks.
You'll know the drill and be more sorted by then. I guess the issues will revolve around dressing, getting in & out of bed etc. Just get yourself ready is all!

Great news, not sure I'd have the courage to go back so soon but I guess it would get everything over with. Those early days can be tough, stay positive. Take the spot and you can always reconsider the week before.
