Hi fellow hippies

Hope you are all well!

Had my op Wednesday and should have gone home Friday but temperature up a bit so still here. Some redness around incision site so keeping me in as a precaution

Walking with crutches, still some pain which is worse at night - everything seems to seize up a bit after 10pm.

Even. though I have had Superpath approach, my surgeon says it's still a big op and my joint was absolutely knackered. Had to cut a lot of bone away - lots of osteophytes that needed removing

i used to think I was imagining it- not so!

i have ceramic socket with ceramic ball and titanium implant

Really feel as if I want to stretch my leg so attempting short walks during the day to get things moving. I have been told I will still get some pain for about 3 weeks but it will lessen- feel well in myself!

Hope, wherever you are on your 'hip' journey, that things are going well and you are starting to feel improvements

It's not a race is it- everything in it's own time!

Hope you are home soon. Sounds like the walking is going well. Good luck with the inflammation.

well done you, sounds like you are doing fine, I too had the stiffness at night, it's all normal in the first few days/weeks, good luck with your recovery,

Dear Linda ... welcome to the other side of THR .... I had a temperature for about 3 days too - good that they are keeping you - so surrender and relax - you will be home before you know it ... nice to read that you are feeling good with in your self and doing your little walks ... relax and rest up ... I hope they are treating you well - warm hug

Sounds as if you are doing great except for the temp which hopefully is getting taken care of I am sure.
