I am 51 years and this is this is new territory in my trip through perimenopause. I am on day 50 with no period but have had a little bit of spotting for the past few days. Not much spotting, just a very little trace.
I've heard spotting can happen during perimenopause and this is my first instance with it. I just didn't know if spotting should happen for a few days in a row or not. I felt like a bit of a phantom period too.......Anyone have any experience with us?
Thanks Cilla - I hope it doesn't last that long for me but I guess better than a full-fledged period....maybe I won't get another one...wishful thinking
Thanks Louise - don't worry about the TMI - I was going to post what you did...spotting noticeable only when I wipe. Not much -- just a little on the tp.
Hi Jane, yes it does happen I use to spot between periods sometimes I think that's when your nearing menopause,or not a full period and haves you a spotting.
I don’t think you always need a biopsy. I think they look at your gyn history and other symptoms too first. In my experience they usually smear test, swab then ultrasound first....
Phewwwwww I’m seeing a Gynea next week and freaked out at the thought of a biopsy. I’ve been spotting for 5 months with only about 8 days per month (non consecutive) no spotting days.
Me too cilla. Hope all goes well for you. My ultrasound consultancy is on Monday next week so hoping all is ok. Peri makes everything such a worry 😢xxx
Nearing menopause sounds good to me! I was figuring I must be in the last stages by going this long without a period. Everyday I remind my husband how many days since my last period as if I'm counting down to New Years
Today is day 50 since my last period. This is the first time I've gone this long. I just turned 51 last month. Maybe I'll be a "text book case" and be done at 51
