Hi, day 5 on citalopram.....i feel anxious, but its lessened the things that made me anxious in the first place....which i hope is a good sign!.
Hi, I hope you're aware citalopram will ruin your sex drive. It'll stop you, or make it incredibly difficult for you, to orgasm, and it will stop you from feeling horny. You'll have little or no interest in sex. Have you read up on the side effects?
Yes iam aware of the side effects like that, it also ca make some feel hypersexual to...but i need to build up my serotonin levels, i have taken citralopram before?

I'm weaning myself off as per doctors advice as I've luv started on Mirtazapine. I've been on 40mg for many years and have had enough of affecting my sex life. My other half is on the same dose but her sex drive never changed. She's one of a rare breed of human lol. There is a whole thread on this subject on here, which is really interesting reading. I think it's called citalopram affecting sex drive.
Don't listen to him. I've had no sexual side effects thus far.

Her not him! And it's rare as I said to find someone not affected but again I refer you to the thread on here about citalopram and sexual dysfunction where 99% of people say the same as me, and it's a 4 page thread.
