I'm having musical obsessions from past 3 years.And it causes me great amount of anxiety and worry.now finally after consulting a psychiatrist I have been put on flouxetine 20mg a day and tofizopam 50 mg.today is the 6th day and I had great amount of anxiety and I was having thought that will this medication work?
Will I be able to get out of it? Please guide me.
Hi antidepressants take 6 to 8 weeks to stabilise in your system so you are expecting too much too soon.A large amount of people with anxiety stop taking medication before they start to work as they all have side effects when you start them especially increased anxiety.Just keep in your mind that you have to be patient.Keep a journal and that will help you see if you are improving over the next couple of months.Just take it one day at a time and try not to panic
