On day 7 and my anxiety has been almost tangible today with an increased heart rate. Is this normal? On 20mg once a day? Xxxxx
Hi Lucy, I found deep breathing and mindful meditation helps me through the anxiety. I can recommend some good links that I use. The anxiety will pass, I am on day 14 and feel like the Prozac has finally kicked in. My mood is level and content. The sunny aspect of the medication is apparent today, so hang on in there.
That would be great if you could give me the links please.... praying it gets better xxxx
Hi Debbie, could you please send me the links also, could use the help
Hi Lucy
Sorry to say but wayyyyy to early to get the improvement you want.. I’m now on 60mg after nearly 4mths ... wen I first started on Prozac at 20mg the first two weeks were hell on earth, but my doc had warned me, that it would be very bad, and yep he was right... it’s was like being in a tunnel and can’t seem to see the light..
I so feel for you, as I never throught I’d get where I am now, but for ME this med worked, and now at 60mg I’m feeling very good, I also struggling with the menopause so I’m fighting that as well 😡
Try to take each day as it comes, untill ur pass the two weeks your going to turn your self inside out...
Even after the two weeks there will be good days,as well as bad, it’s a very slow working drug, so only time will help you..
Good luk, I so hope u will be fine, keep in touch on here big hug 🤗x
Yes today was a bad day. I couldn’t bring myself to go to work. I’m going to ride it out though........ xxxxx
Yes this is completely normal, It should last a day or two then come back again, it happened to me, I am still waiting for it to work been on it 6 weeks, in the mean time go for walks.
Is it normal for side effects to come & go? I'm on day 12 increase of 20 mg to 30 mg, it's been hell, hotflashes, headache, nausea & increased anxiety, ready to stop & go back to 20 mg, lost it & cried today which is not me, just fed up at this point, haven't been to work in 2 weeks, besides myself at this point.
