It doesn’t seem to make any difference what I eat although I’ve been very strict with a low fat diet and small meals.
I have what I can only describe as yellow water coming out of me.
can I take Loperamide?
Hi Becky … I experienced diarrhoea before my gb was removed back in 2015 … my doctor was unable to give a diagnosis for this but I’ve since concluded it was because of my diseased gallbladder. On the day of my op I was told I would probably have to always take anti-diarrhoeal tablets.Your condition may have something to do with your body aclimatising to having no gallbladder so it may be a transitory condition. In any case you can take anti diarrheal tablets. (sorry about the spelling here).
Sending you good wishes.
Thank you so much for your reply. I didnt have diarrhoea before my surgery so I assume its something to do with my body adjusting. I was told before the op that I could expect ‘loser’ BMs but this has been way beyond that.
I worry that my body’s getting little or no nourishment and delaying my recovery.
I’ve taken some Loperamide and my tummy does feel more settled.
