hi new member here I have a fracture on my fifth metacarpal shaft , and is in a delayed union position , has anybody else had this for a fracture ?
any help would be appreciated

Hi. I broke my 5th metacarpal at the end of May. It was displaced and I had to have two pins put in. I rebroke it July 1st when I fell off a pier at the lake (broke my 5th metatarsal too in that fall).
They treated the hand conservatively the second time. No surgery just a splint for 3.5 weeks.
I am having a lot of problems with it now. I can only bend the knuckle 60% and it hurts all the time. I see the original surgeon on Tuesday. I go to physio weekly as well and I'm diligent about doing my exercises daily.
I hope your heals well.
It's a just a little frustrating , it's been 6 weeks , already , I'm seeing my doctor today for some more advice on it
