I’m diagnosed with very high anxiety disorder but for the longest time I’ve been dealing with depersonalization. Every Doctor I go to they don’t know how to treat me. My psychiatrist put me on Lamotrigine which now I’m at 100mg with that. And now I’m also on citalopram 10mg. Any thoughts about these medications? I’m a hypochondriac so don’t scare me with your responses lol. I just want to feel like me and not feel like a robot that is living in a dream. I want to feel emotions and realize that this world is real.
Hi. Do you think the psychiatrist is helping??? I'm taking citalopram. I have had it before and for me it was really good. Remember like with most meds you will have some minor side effects. This is all totally normal. Asking people.on here how they felt when taking it will help reassure you that it's a normal feeling and not to panic . Have you had any other type of counselling or therapy. Is there anything that makes you think it triggered these feelings??
I have high anxiety, i was given diazepam but cannot tolerate anti deps. Do you think the lamotrigine is helping the anxiety and is it worth trying?
No the psychiatrist is honestly an a**hole and I will be seeing a new one this week thankfully. And you’re right I should just wait and see how I do but my depersonalization has been very bad and it has been even before the medication and that’s my number one thing I want to go away. And I used to see a therapist and I will be going to a new one soon!
So far I’m not really sure how I feel about it.
