hello someone ,im on my 3rd day of fluxotine ,first day it took all anxious feelinhs away with in the hour , signs like dry mouth etc,but i am getting what i can only explain as the feeling of dread and then i panic its horrible i dont know if i can take this 3rd tab can please some one help me im on my own .
Hi Vanecia. If you have just gotten on the medicine you can have side effects but if I heard you correctly...you had great relief from day one. To me that's great news. Right? It can take some people weeks to adjust to the meds while others have very few problems adjusting. I encourage you to give the med time to work. In the meantime maybe think about getting some counseling. Call your GP and ask for a referral. What do you think? Will you keep us posted? Diane
hiya adldiane , im now on fay 5 and yes flux has made abit of a diff but my anxiety is still very scary thats what im not coping with , i panic really badly , from day 1 i felt a difference , my counsellor atm is very supportive ,but some of these side effects are not very nice ,bit leople keep telling me to carry on but its hard when you feel like this .
I was on fluoxotine awhile back and had horrible side affects. I think I had the dry mouth but it also made me very paranoid at night, more than I already am. It also gave me horrifying nightmares. I was terrified to take it and just couldn't bring myself to keep taking it. I just stopped taking it until my doctor and I met t my net appointment and he switched my meds but I shouldn't have stopped taking them. The next time I had bad side affects from a medication or didn't feel comfortable taking them, I called my doctor and he got me off of them. So if I were you, I would write down what side affects you are having and try to get in contact with your doctor to let him know you are not comfortable taking them.
thankyou marie , i also have a dry mouth , but its my anxiety it has gone threw the roof and im not coping well with it, it gets me so scared i just panic badly ,i seem to be ok allday until around 3 or 4 oclock then my anxiety goes crazy, ive got rhe doctors wed so ill see what he says .

HI day 2 of 10mg, anxiety bad yesterday, deart go to sleep at night, till 1pm then took a tiny bit of mitazapine, it helped but still woke up with anxiety, went back bed with cup of tea, took my pill, I am suffering from temple pains and hotness, tired out as well ,
I have been on this drug 3 times now and have dad to return it after a year off.
Yes it does work. Took me just over a week before it kicked in. Once it does you will lose the feelings of panic.
I asked my doctor for a couple of weeks of Diazipam. To take during the kick in period and that is working
Perhaps yu could do the same
