how many has prozac helped?did you find it helped for awhile.or maybe it caused a poop out.just trying to get a idea about the medication.

im taking fluoxetine (a type of prozac) and like a lot of medications it gets worse before it gets better. i have only been taking it for 6 days and feel all over the place. at times its helping but the side effects are random and have no patterns for me. However, i have spoke to my doctor and this is normal. i hope this helps you and good luck.

it really does make you feel all over the place.i been on it going on 5 weeks.i think its just starting to help.i didnt have to many side effects from it.it just takes awhile for it to get in your system.

I was on fluoxetine (Prozac) for postnatal depression 21 years ago with good effect. I eventually came off them and remained drug free for a number of years. However in 2006 I started with anxiety so my go at the time put me back on fluoxetine as I had responded well to it first time round. I was working at the time but had to take some time off sick whilst I got over the immediate side effects. I did return to work after a few weeks and managed well. I remained in work for 8 years whilst on fluoxetine. Have since changed antidepressants as I felt they were no longer keeping me stable since I finished work 21/2 years ago. Hope they work for you I was happy on them with very few side effects and no real problems coming off them to go onto an alternative.

Sorry to be negative, but you did ask. I know different anti depressants suit different people. Prozac was the worse one I ever took. Made me very poorly. I could not tolerate it at all, within a couple of days of taking it I was highly agitated and could not settle at all.
I know it helps others, so it is a matter of finding the anti depressant that suits us.
thats ok.it seems to be helping me.i just been on it for five weeks.what might work for one might not for someone else.it is a hard drug to get use to.i thought it would never work.
