Depression and hiding it from others

it’s hard to keep up the pseudo happiness. making everyone laugh and feel good about themselves. yet I cry inside, not knowing why, I just know that my low t has everything and nothing to do with it. relationships are 10x more difficult when you have depression and trying to hide it is exhausting. when you ask everyone how are they feeling and no one stops you and says, how are you really feeling. sorry this wasn’t a question. ..I just needed to “talk” this out.

I know just how you feel. Having the right words to say to others but being perceived as strong. Yet the silent battles in ones head keep playing out. In the real sense I want someone to genuinely ask me how I am feeling so I can pour out my hidden tears. Your speaking here I guess shouldn’t be a crime.

hello Shinpi, i can totally connect to you on this situation… i have faced all this and let me tell you this is only going to stay until you sort this out with a psychotherapist, express your self fully and make slight alterations of thought and lifestyle. Depression totally changes the way you understand and perceive things about others and yourself. and wrong perception is going to take you nowhere. CBT has helped me a lot, i found my depression causes and many unsorted disputes… a very small period of antidepressants have helped me get over this grey cloud.

the moment depression fades away, you get back to life like nothing happened. Get help from a psychotherapist and express your self without a fear of being judged.. you are going to get perfect. Depression is very short-lived if you start working on it.

This is why its important to discuss your feelings with your loved ones and get their support. Families are curses in many peoples lives but they can be a blessing and are supposed to be.
