Depression, Anxiety and struggling to cope

Hi,

I've suffered with depression for years now and more recently have been experiencing anxiety and Paranoia. I live at home with my Mum, but I'm struggling to cope. She has her 4 grandkids everyday (soon to be 5) and I find it diufficult as I need my space. I feel trapped and hate myself for it. I'm looking at renting somewhere but I'm self employed (have to be as its the only way I can cope in the working environment) and on a low income. My dad has a place up for rent soon, which would be perfect but I don't know if I will receive help or be seen as unable to cope on my own. Please help I feel so confused

Hey

I feel you trust me but honestly my best advise to you is to stay with your mum as your nephews and neices will eventually keep your mind off your anxiety/depression and being around people will force you into normality eventually you will adapt.

Avoidance will sink you deeper.

I know its very difficult but you will get better

Hi if you are working 35 hours a week or more you might be entitled to working tax credit for those on low incomes.  You might also be entitled to some housing benefit and/or council tax rebate.

Look on   direct.gov.uk  (sorry don't know how to do links).   Oh just thought I presume you are in the UK?  x

If you are on a low income there may be a scheme where you can get Housing Benefit.  Your local council will help you with that enquiry.  I don't think they ask if you can cope on your own.  Do you think you can cope?
