Depression: My story of how I beat it with the help of someone!

It has been quite some time since I felt very depressive, and I think of this quote, if depression even rears it's "ugly" head.

A woman told me on here about OU courses online, to try and get and push that depression away! That was last Nov 2015, when I suffered a Chronic Breakdown! These days I wake up every morning thinking of the same quote that I have been following, since taking a path in a totally different way.  Okay, I am still on antidepressents, but all of the negative thoughts I used to get daily, never enter my mind, ever since the lady on these forums and a quote that I found while doing some resourcing for a course.

I took many paths that an average person would never do - These days people ask how I am so knowledgeable in so many subjects! So, I tell them the following, and have I have never looked back.

I have always looked up to Neale Donald Walsch, due to a quote that intrigued me.. I'll share that quote and how I read that quote in to my life.

It was Neale Donald Walsch who said:

"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone."

And it cannot be more true if you think of life as the journey towards our purpose, our true calling, the fulfilment of our true potential.

Most people live out their lives in their comfort zones. Afraid to change, afraid to step out, afraid of the unknown, they stay where they feel safe and where they know all the rules of the game.

Then there are the rest, who take those steps, who embrace change and who leap into the unknown, for they know that true human potential knows no bounds.

They know that staying in your comfort zone is the greatest evil you could fall prey for.

That is how I got to where I am today, even now I am still pushing forward out of my comfort zone. The things I have done in my life - in such a short space of time, would leave the average person way behind, and afraid to leave their comfort zones.

It does not matter what age you start from, you can achieve anything if you continue to push yourself forward, and never look back.

Depression can be beaten, it may take time - but it is within everyone of us, to be able to push yourself out of your "comfort zone" and carry on forward with a positive attitude.

One comment I got from this statement was this:

It is perfect. I'm going to put it in my expressions to live day by day. I print one out every week and read it daily!

I have continued to do free courses by on a website where I can learn at a pace that suits me, and earn passes to obtain Certificates, Site Badges, Free currency (it isn't real money, you use it to buy your digital certificates, etc!).

Thanks for reading, and have a good day! I have read this quote and my understanding of it many times now - it keeps me thinking with a positive attitude on life!

what a great way to end a sunday, i enjoyed your post!
