hi , I went to the doctors on Thursday after getting pains in the left side of abdomen ,,, you know what it's like being a worrier and people telling you it's all normal ... Well I decided to go with instinct and booked in at the doctors I was referred to hospital on the Friday morning for an emergency scan where I was told that I had a large dermis cyst I felt sick ,,, they checked on the baby who was being stuburn already and hiding against the wall of the sac but they could see a flutter of a heartbeat , Automatically I felt relief ,,, back to the cyst anyway I didn't get told much tbh I was made another appointment for 10days later where I hope to be told more ,, I can't help but worry for the baby though especially reading some of people's stories through pages like this keeping everything crossed it all works out , I'm currently 6weeks pregnant
Hey I was scanned and had the cyst at time I had no idea what sort as been messed around a lot but since found out its a possible dermoid I've since had my Lil one and still got it but he was fine ..I'm also on the way to being diagnosed with endometriosis so hang in there I'm sure you'll be ok xx
Hi Rebecca- been on this site a while cos I had cysts and I've just had a hysterectomy (i'm 74 ) -all fine, but last week I read about a girl who has had cyst removed whilst pregnant and is now Ok and her baby is fine. I know you must be worried but it's marvellous how they can help you. I've never been so well looked after by doctors in my life. Your baby will be fine- he/she is still small and what they removed from me was much larger so he'll have room to grow Your body will take care of him-it's nature. Good luck xx
Hi Rebecca.
I have recently went through a similar experience and hope I can help you. I had a cyst and am pregnant. It was found early pregnancy but needed surgery but they waited until second trimester before operating. I had to have open surgery as my cyst was huge 25x29cm. I had it and an ovary plus tube removed. I was very nervous with the risks to pregnancy but thankfully all has been ok and baby is progressing fine so far. It's a very anxious time but medical team were brilliant for me. Dealing with pregnancy is hard enough without these added pressures.
I had no choice but to progress with surgery as there simply wasn't enough room for baby to develop so it would have cut blood supply.
Let me know how your getting on.
