Which is more accurate in diagnosing ovarian mass ..ultrasound or mri?
Ultrasound the vaginal way cause they show the pictures of the ovaries that is how they found out i had them
Hi
The best to have is a CT with dye it is much more detailed x
Thanks for your reply ..I have had a small something on my left ovary that my gyno always said was a fibroma and sent me on my way two years ago ..now I'm feeling pelvic discomfort so I went back to him ..he then sent me for an mri and ca125..Mri showing Brenner tumor/ fibroma ..ca 125 is normal .i expressed my concerns about having it removed so it sent me to a gyno oncologist ..told me to go talk to him but it isn't urgent ..gyno oncologist sent me for a transvaginsl ultrasound which is stating that it looks like a possible dermoid cyst ..I am opting to have it removed along with ovary and both Fallopian tubes because I feel everything is so not definitive ...very nervous about this whole situation .so worried about ovarian cancer ..
