Desparate

Hi,

I have problems with my right knee and hip and have gone beyond being desparate for relief.

I am averaging about 2 hours of sleep a night, most of the time it feels like someone is trying to pry my knee cap off, I can't bend my leg because my hip joint is very painful, I am taking 2 hydrocodone 10/325 mg tabs every 5 to 6 hours and they just dull the pain.

If i am sitting I have to struggle to get up, I can't get in the car because I can't bend my leg enough to get my foot in the door.

I am supposed to be working full time but the pain is making it near impossible to do anything.

I had an mri of my right knee and there is what the doctor describes as pebbles located behind the knee cap but I can't get it fixed because I have been fighting a kidney infection for the past month.

Both of my rotator cuffs are trashed so even moving my arms has become challenging.

I am really at the end of my rope.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi just wanted to say that I was treated for severe hip pain with no obvious sign of damage to the hip 8 years of hell and nearly sucidal at times A new consultant which i was sent to by accident he thought maybe it was my knee that was causing my hip to twist whilst walking After discussions with hubby agreed Guess what 4 months after THE not only have I NO Pain in hip ever but my new knee can do things I haven't done for 20 years In fact stopped using my mobility scooter can't wait to get my other knee done Anyway hope you get sorted x

I am so very sorry to hear about what you are going through. Prior to having a knee replacement I was plagued with UTIs and couldn't figure out what the problem was. My surgery was delayed because of it. The pain in my knee was causing hip problems as well as foot problems and I worried that I would ever get any of this resolved. Finally a nurse suggested that I try to increase the amount of probiotics I was eating. Always a big yogurt fan, I had eliminated it from my diet when I decided to go paleo last fall. Adding fermented vegetables into my diet made a huge difference. I don't know if this will help you or not. Once I had my TKR last month the hip problem disappeared and my feet have been cooperating as well-so far. Everything is connected and when you compensate in one area it affects another. Best wishes to you
