Just an update on my situation. I am still using the wet ones a few times a day. they are not helping too much. I woke up today with the semsation of many foreign bodies being lodged in the inner corner of my eye. My eye looks really glassy. My vision is affected. I believe I have posterior bleph, clogged glands inside my eyes. I am going crazy with this. It effects my vision and quaity of life. Has anybody found something to help for posterior bleph inside the eye? Please!!!!
When my eyes get like that (the feeling of foreign bodies in the inner corner) it goes away as soon as I get my allergy shot.
I have very bad mold allergies. Have you been tested for allergies?
another thing that has helped me, even more than regular allergy shots, is autologous serum drops. My blepharitis causes evaporation of mu tears dye to the oil layer of my tear film getting stuck in my eye lashes. These drops have decreased the inflammation in both my lids and eyes due to dry eye which has significantly decreased my blepharitis activity,
lakenzie, Thank you for writing to me! When you mentioned mold I couldn't even believe it! I am allergic to mold! Years ago I wasn't feeling well. It took me so long to figure out why! Finally, an allergy test confirmed I was allergic to mold..long story short, we had mold in our attic. The drops you suggested, do you get these from the Dr.? Prescription? I haven't been to a dr in a year. I gave up on them helping me. I may just have to go again with your information! I wonder if that's my problem? Do you think benadryl will help any? I guess I can try and see, right? But, the drops are definitely something I need to get asap. Thanks again 
Hey, glad I could help! They are basically artificial tears made out of your own plasma. I just have my blood drawn and spun down then take it to a compounding pharmacy to have them diluted and bottled. My corneal specialist writes the prescription though. They have been a life saver for me!
As far as the allergies, I try to stay away from Benadryl due to its drying effects in my eyes, but there are a lot of eye drops over the counter for allergies. I take allergy shots and take singular because it is really the only allergy control medication that isn't an antihistamine which have a tendency to dry.
Hi Maxine I too have posterior bleph and have had it for 17 years. The condition means the glands that produce oil are blocked so they feel gritty and dry. There is s new treatment where the glands are unblocked with a surgical instrument, it's done under local and I'm hoping to have it done in the next few weeks, do you live in the uk?

I will, the consultant said to date it's been very successful, in the meantime use the warm eye bags twice a day with a good massage of the lids afterwards, x

Your foreign body sensation may be aggravated by the cleaning with benzalkonium chloride which is quite a strong detergent and therefore irritating for sensitive eyes. I suggest you only do this once daily and try lubricating frequently through the day with preservative free your onset drops. Hylo-tear is available over the counter at pharmacies in the UK (but they may have to order it or you can order on-line).
Dry eyes syndrome often exists with blepharitis - the type of cleaning you are doing aggravates dry eyes and may account for your blurred vision.
Thank you, Robert, for your advice and insight. I am using preserative free eyedrops a couple times a day. I am now using my wet ones twice a day. At others suggestions, I have started doing warm compresses followed by massage. It seems to be helping. Have you been able to find relief?
