My symptoms all started off in September 2014. I was very fit and active up to this point. With the exception of an over active thyroid for many years I had no other medical problems. From September I lowly developed dreadfully clicking and painful joints, aches in my abdomen, IBS, tinnitus, jaw pain, anxiety, tearfulness, feeling very negative about the future, wrist pain, neck and spinal pain, high blood pressure, extreme sensitivity to cold. Dry skin. Irregular periods, my face flushes very easily. Stomach pains and back pains in the morning. Feeling as if i haven't slept well. Night terrors. Tiredness throughout the day. I have had several blood tests all of which have been ok and I now have been diagnosed with Fibromylgia. I have not worked since September and wonder how I will be able to work again. I have tried everything from massage, reflexology, acupuncture, swimming etc but nothing really seems to give me relief. I am also taking many vitamin supplements. I just wondered is there anybody out there going through similar.
Yes, 22 years ago I was diagnosed...but it does get much much better, once the doctor-(-Rhumotologist is the best)...most people agree, they will get you on the right meds for you..we all seem to take different meds..we all have such different symptoms too..really feeling for you Julie...I was like this years ago...only get huge flare ups now and again now...usually can tell when there coming too....you soon learn what you can do and what is not too good for you..here is a few things that you maybe need to know that nearly all of us do, well I do at least..really hope it helps you Julie...
Try try try try to be be stress free..it really is the worst thing to do for Fibro..stress free is the Fibro key...
Vitamin D3 twice the recommended dose
Magnesium twice the recommended dose
I take other things too some for other health issues...nearly all my meds are natural and I eat Paleo style....sooooo good for you..google it..
lots and lots of hot water bottles, all over when needed..I really hope you get sorted soon..it's just awful ....especially if your not getting the right sleep- that is very important for dealing with all those Fibro issues the next day..be blessed Julie..:-) xx
keep blogging..it's very helpful and encouraging..you are not alone...:-) xx
Thankyou Christine. I will certainly try this and see if it helps. I am seeing the rheumatologist on the 19th of March. I found this forum as recommended by my GP. Thankful now that I have:-) x

Thanks Anne. Yes, there is definite invaluable information on this site. My main worry and concern is about work. I cannot afford not to work but there are some mornings i am not able to get out of bed and driving is very difficult me now. Hope you're having a good Sunday x
