Desperate now!

I have been suffering for 10 months which I now believe to be silent reflux, I don't have heartburn. I have a very tender stomach, bloating etc. It started suddenly with a real pain in the throat followed by the lump sensation. I have had ct scans endoscopy Oesophagus tests followed by 24hour monitor, Barrium swallow. Finally the doc said I have a weak los. My main trouble at the moment is chest pain and feel like I have toxic air in my throat ,back of the nose and ears, really bad taste in mouth that is always coated in yellow grunge. I have been on PPI's they just make my stomach hurt gaviscon helped at first but no longer helps. I am waiting to be referred to another specialist. I don't drink or smoke, I don't eat fried foods, fizzy drinks etc, cut down on tea can't eat chocolate etc. I get the problem if I eat or if I don't. Can anyone help  please?

Following because I have same symptoms

Hi there. I have the same thing. Just went back to the Pulmanary Doctor. Because I swear the burning was in my lungs and nose every time I breath. Top of my stomach under my ribs feels swollen too. Back pain as well. Pulmanary dr said its not my lungs. He's 98% sure it's not so now back to the GI doc. Actual I see two GI docs right now. Waiting for another upper Endoscopy and time for colonoscopy too. The did the ct scan about a year ago and we decided to take out the gallbladder. They keep telling me I have slight reflux. So on low acid low carb diet. Don't smioke and don't drink. So tired of the pain. The smell in my nose and burning like feeling is awful. If this all from silent reflux I don't known how to I am going to servive. Already take 40 mg omeprozole and baclofan. Not really helping. I keep thinking I have something really wrong. But tests keep coming back in normal range. I wish you luck.

Sorry to hear you are suffering as bad, it's like fighting a loosing battle. Interesting about your gall bladder why did they remove it? I had really bad gallstones 30 years ago and then it settled down I never had surgery but it has shown up on the scan that I have calcified gall stones, the doc said it's not the cause of the problem.

I understand the burning in nose etc and the more I read and talk to people I don't think it's acid I believe it's pepsin. I have never had a good sence of smell but now I can't stand strong smell if someone sprays perfume it's awful the worse is if I walk past someone who is smoking. The feeling can last for hours at a time. Do you think the Omeprozole help as I found they made me worse, let me know how you get on when you have your endoscopy, mine was all clear take care
