Another group, another post!! I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's syndrome. This was while I was working abroad, and the doctors kept a regular check on it. My GP back in the UK however does not seem to be interested in it, despite the fact that my goiter is slowly getting bigger. She does not seem to want me to see a specialist, and says it will be checked again in six months.
As I have a private medical insurance, I would like to see a private specialist who would be prepared to do ALL the tests, including the free T3 and free T4 etc, and who - most importantly - would be prepared to prescribe, if necessary, natural dessicated thyroid. I live in east Cornwall. Does anyone know how I can find such a specialist?
