Early this year i had a sudden surge of itchy red rashes on my penis, i went to the doctor and he prescribed a antibiotic cream to use. I used it properly and for a while it seemed like it worked, but about 2 months after, the problem came back. I used up all of the cream i had left and then booked a appointment with the doctor to see what to do. He said i had balanopostitis and that the only option was circumcision. Obviously i do not want to have my foreskin removed and asked for more cream and started always keeping my penis clean and dry. But even so the infection does not go away. Im confused on what to do next. Will i have this problem for years to come? Is there a way to get a more specialized treatment to this problem? Edit: After my second visit to the doctor, i started using PH neutral soap on the area as well, it doesnt look like it's making the problem worse, but i could be wrong. Thoughts?
