Hi. Recently I was diagnosed with Vertigo due to problem in right ear. My symptoms were dizziness when walking, standing and standing up(everything starts shaking and I am not able to see anything), pain in ears, headaches and stiffness in neck and fatigue. When the dizziness happens, my hearing also becomes very vague and ringing starts in ears. My doctor got the Audiogram and Impedence test done and check for infection and there was none and my hearing is fine.
But there is no improvement. I still have all the symptoms. The dizziness has decreased a little but fatigue and headaches have become regular. I am taking pain killer for headaches everyday.
Also I was taking anti-depressants till December,2015. Now I do get episodes of stress but I am able to manage through counselling myself.
I did a little research and I read that vertigo could be a symptom for something serious related to brain nerves. Please suggest what I should do? Should I see a neurologist?
May I have a clarification please on what you said.
Do you have dizziness while standing, without doing anything else, or is this associated with some other event? Is this a coincidence, or is this spontaneous dizziness associated with other events?
Do you get dizzy as soon as you stand up from sitting in a chair?

Yes. Multiple episodes have been where I would be standing in a shop and sudden dizziness and sometime when i stand up from chair and immediately it gets dizzy. So i sit back again. After a minute, the spinning would go away. Once it happens that I was coming out of bathroom and It got so dizzy that I went blind and couldn't see anything or hear anything.
Because some of the these episodes are associated with standing up from a chair (without head movement), then it does not sound like a vestibular problem. It may be orthostatic hypertension. A GP could probably diagnose this if it is present. Please let him or her know that this should be specifically ruled out

Sorry, of course I meant orthostatic hypotension.
Hi. Thank for helping out but things are not improving. Today the whole day I had massive headache right after opening my eyes in the morning and till now (night in India). The pain is in my jaws and under my eyes and cheeks as well. Apart from that severe pain inside and behind right ear. And I am not able to concentrate. Not able to do mathematical calculations like simple addition multiplication. It took me 5 minutes to calculate 3 times 85 and I'm an engineer so mathematics is my daily work.apart from that slight neck and stiffness right below the hairline.
I don't want to go to any general physician because they will do a lot of hit and trail(very common in India) and I want to make sure I go to the right specialist. If I go in emergency, they will run unnecessary tests for which I can't pay.
please I really need help. I am not able to work or do anything properly.
