After the gutwrenching conversation with my boyfriend last night we both agreed to get tested together today for HSV1 & 2. I am showing major symtoms while he is showing minor. So we talked it out we went to get tested today. I have been confirmed as I’m showing symptoms but my results from the scrape (ow btw) won’t come in until Tuesday but both the ER doctor and teledoc agreed it is HSV2 that I have going on down there. When we went into the ER for testing (legit the only place that will do it in my area) they pretty much looked at his penis, slapped “uritits” on his diagnosis and sent him out the room with no testing. They than swabbed me, gave me a shot in the ass, gave me meds, and GRILLED my relationship. “Do you suspect he was unfaithful” “were you cheating” “What will you do if..” “how do you feel if..” “do you really see your future with him…” – it felt pretty personal and like I was being attacked. I understand the seriousness of this but isn’t it also something nearly the whole population has? I’m lucky to have found a partner I can communicate comfortably with without feeling judged(no matter how gross I feel right now) . And I feel like no matter how much I said “we’ve discussed this” the questions kept coming.
did anyone else experience this? While I figure the nurse had good intentions it just felt really personal.
