Diarrhea, Nausea, loss of appetite 9 weeks post Gall Bladder Removal

Hi 2chr2015. So sorry only just picked up your message. Such a shame that you are feeling poorly. Not fair after having surgery and wanting to get back to normal.

My Dr arranged a scan and some blood tests and all were normal. She explained that it can take a long time for some people to adjust to not having a gallbladder and suggested trying to eat a low fat diet. I did eat a bland diet for 1 month after surgery but when I introduced fat back into my diet my system just couldn't cope. No one in the hospital warned me of this.

I have since stuck to non fatty foods and no alcohol and am feeling so much better. I think I over indulged in fatty foods which caused the awful symptoms I was having. I do have some fat but don't eat chips anymore or very spicy food.

I can tolerate a little low fat cheese so maybe things are improving at last!

What are your symptoms? Are you watching your diet?

Hope this has helped.
