Anybody been left with diarrhoea? My stomach has been sensitive since I had shingles almost 8 weeks ago. Two days can go by and I am fine then out of the blue I am struck down with the runs. Can it be connected to the antiviral meds I had for the shinges?

Could be because the virus is still active in your system. (See viremia)! apparently it can take some time to clear. I still have strange "Happenings" after 2 months! 
PHN can go on for some time. I'm not an expert but try looking it up on this or other web sites. Docs don't seem to know much. Mine had to look it up on her PC before she prescribed. I've found out more from patient UK forums and from googeling Shingles! 
Yes, diarrhoea is a common side effect of antiviral meds. However, it should be cleared by now, if you are done with your course 8 weeks ago. Why not to repeat a visit to GP?
I will do some research on here and Adam, I have been back to the doctor, I will submit a sample tomorrow. This has been difficult as for two day I can fine then suddenly I have it again. Thanks for your help, this is such a good site.
